The CWA-IBT Bargaining Committee reached a Tentative Agreement with American Airlines on December 6, 2023. The CWA-IBT Association is currently working on releasing the full details of the tentative agreement, which will be made available soon.
Below are the highlights of the negotiated Tentative Agreement:
Signing Bonus
$200 per year of service, with a minimum of $1,000 per employee.
Wages
Immediate hourly pay increases between 10% - 42%
May 1, 2024 – 3% increase in the pay scales.
May 1, 2025 - 3% increase in the pay scales.
May 1, 2026 – 3% increase in the pay scales.
May 1, 2027 – 3% increase in the pay scales.
*Customer Service Agent and Reservation Representative (OBR & HBR) making the same
Premiums
Airports – Increase CSC and PGSC increased premium to $3/hour.
Reservations – AAV included in the Elite premium.
Overtime
Vacation
Sixth (6th) week of vacation accrual after twenty-nine (29) or more years of service. Begin accruing in second year to use in the third (3rd) year of the agreement.
Employer maximum 401(K) contribution increased to 9%:
Insurance
No change to medical benefits during the term of the agreement, however the Company may decrease the employee contributions to the Core plan at its discretion.

A no furlough clause for all members on the seniority list at the date of signing.
Recall
Recall rights extended to 10 years.
Laws
All state or local sick leave law currently followed by the Company as to CWA-IBT members will not be waived during the term of this agreement.
Duration (Term of the Agreement):
Five (5) year agreement, with a 300-day early opener clause to bargaining before the amendable date.
